The Trial: A Murder in the Family COMPLETE mini-series
This series is a hybrid of documentary and drama, where a fictional murder case is tried in a real court with actual legal professionals and a real jury comprised of 12 randomly selected members of the public, with the intention of revealing the inner workings of the legal system. The only actors are the dead, the accused and some witnesses. The trial centres around the death of 38 year old Carla Davis who was strangled to death in her own home, and her estranged husband Simon stands accused of her murder. Forensic experts, police officers and witnesses will give evidence, before the cameras follow the jurors into the deliberation room to show what occurs as they come to their decision.
