Robson Arms is an older Tudor styled two-story walk up apartment building located in the west end of Vancouver. The building is inhabited by a variety of tenants, who interact with each other, and who interact with the mainstays of the building, namely the womanizing superintendent Yuri Kukov, and the Tans, the owner/managers of Pendrell Market, the corner grocery store attached to the building. On a week to week basis, The Troubadours comment on the state of the building’s tenants through song over the opening credits.

Fallen Angels is an American neo-noir anthology television series that ran in 1993 and 1995 on Showtime, and was produced by Propaganda Films. No first-run episodes were shown in 1994.

The series is set in somber Los Angeles right after World War II and before the election of American president John F. Kennedy.

The television program was produced using top-notch directors, well-known hard-boiled fiction writers, experienced screenplay writers, inventive cinematographers (who recreated the film noir images), and actors. The art direction gave the series the ambiance and historical look required of a show devoted to noir set in Los Angeles.

A few known actors went behind the camera to direct a few episodes. They include: Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, and Kiefer Sutherland.

Each episode in season 1 begins with a cool and restrained jazz score as the sultry character Fay Friendly (Lynette Walden) explained to the audience what would develop in the episode. each episode in season 2 begins with a prologue voiced by Miguel Ferrer which explained to the audience the episode’s events and who the main character’s were.

Her words are wistful, melancholic and foreshadowed the pain to come.

Two police officers investigate a series of brutal murders in which the victims have had bodily organs removed. When one of them questions a young woman who has been seen at the crime scenes, it turns out she is an alien from an interstellar prison ship and that the murders have been committed by a powerful xenomorphic alien which had escaped.

Jack Breslin was a somewhat maverick police detective paired (unofficially) with a beautiful alien possessing strange powers and abilities named Ta’Ra. Posing as his cousin and keeping her origins secret, Ta’Ra helped Jack solve a number of routine crimes.
