The continuing story of Ja’mie King, a conniving Year 12 student at Hillford Girls Grammar, a tony private school in Sydney, Australia. Ja’mie, the self-promoting "queen bee" of Summer Heights High, returns from an exchange semester at that public school for her last three months at Hillford, where she’s the unchallenged diva among the school’s most popular girls, as well as the school captain. After passing her school days cooing with fellow prefects and dissing the "boarders," Ja’mie turns her attention to conquering members of the opposite sex enrolled nearby at Kelton Boys Grammar. She also finds herself in a number of jams that incite the wrath of school officials and her parents. Her callous manipulations begin to wear thin as a few brave girls start to challenge Ja’mie’s reign. But she’ll stop at nothing to have the last word, emboldened by her hot-girl entourage. Clothes, cars, boys, parties … Ja’mie has it all, and her overriding goal is to win the Hillford Medal.

He goes to New York to find an escaped criminal, and there falls for reporter Chris Coughlin, who is the cousin of the deputy police commissioner. After he tracks the criminal down, Chris convinces her cousin to request that Sam be assigned to temporary duty with the NYPD, to learn modern police methods. He is assigned to the detective bureau headed by Chief Peter B. Clifford, who is less than thrilled with having McCloud under his command and gives him nothing but menial duties, but Sam always winds up deep in homicides, drug busts and various other major crimes, often helped out by Sgt. Joe Broadhurst, and solves them using a combination of good police work and good old country know-how.

The Pickwick Papers COMPLETE S01

This adaptation of The Pickwick Papers may have a slow and overly-serious start, but once it gets going and providing you stay with it it is delightful. The photography is very natural-looking, while the sets and costumes are pretty and colourful while true in detail and atmosphere to Victorian England. The dialogue is faithfully Dickenesian with the comedy being genuinely funny and there are several charming moments. The story is charmingly and absorbingly told, the series is long and the pacing is not what you call swift but the strength of the script allows the comedy to make its mark and the drama breathes and resonates paced that way in a way that doesn’t feel long-winded. You cannot go wrong with good performances. We have those, great even. Nigel Stock amuses and affects in the title role, but the standouts are Patrick Malahide’s wonderfully comic to the point of insanity(but in a good way) Mr Jingles and Phil Daniels’ scene-stealing Sam Weller. To conclude truly delightful if not quite among the absolute best Dickens adaptation. Oh and the extra with Simon Callow in Charles Dickens garb is worth checking out too.
