Stanley Duke, an advertising editor with a local newspaper, deals with his adult son’s schizophrenia and the women in his own life. Based on the novel by Kingsley Amis this is a terrific mini series from 1991. It is a funny bittersweet drama that is both moving and disturbing. The characters have been well adapted from the book and the material is acted and performed with sensitivity.
