On June 20th, 1994, five members of the Bain family were found dead in their Dunedin home. Robin, Margaret, Arawa, Laniet and Stephen were all killed leaving a single member of the family alive, eldest son, David Bain. The atrocity captured the nation, and it remains one of New Zealand’s most controversial cases.
